March for Life 2012

This week, thousands will join together in Ottawa to march through the city to the Parliament buildings in support of life for the unborn. Last year, the crowd was counted at over 15,000 and it gets bigger every year. If you are in Ottawa, make an effort to join the March. It will be an uplifting event for all who attend.

Here in Halifax, we will hold a silent prayer vigil on Wednesday evening at 8 pm on South Park Street outside the Victoria General Hospital, the site of over 1700 abortions last year.

On Thursday, May 10 at noon, we will gather outside Province House on Granville Street to protest Canada's position on abortion. Our country has absolutely no laws on abortion, putting us in the same class with three other nations - China, North Korea and Vietnam. And we pay for all of those abortions with our tax dollars. Please come and show our legislators that this is intolerable and needs to be changed.

Guest speakers will be Andre Turcot, pro life representative of the Knights of Columbus in Nova Scotia and Sara Hall, maritime director of the National Campus Life Network.
